AMP_LIVE’s  Hip Hop remix album survives!

As previously reported Amplive remixed InRainbows days after the release of the album. The remix project was a hip hop album, not unlike The Kleptones  album ‘Yoshimi battles the hip hop robots’. W.A.S.T.E  then issued Amplive with a C & D order. Amplive then hit YouTube to plead to Thom personally to have the album released. And it worked! You can get it here.

AmpLive remixes Nude and Weird Fishes

I N R A I N B O W S  B O X  S E T, Y E S T E R D A Y

A lucky fan called “Spuffmeister” has received his InRainbows box set a week early. Although he posted the photos above and others on Radiohead fan site AtEase, WASTE (Radioheads merchandising company) have asked that he not upload the audio tracks that are exclusive to the box set. However he did comment that eagerly awaited track ‘4 Minute Warning’ is “is beautiful, a real end of album track.” Personally I’m not sure if that’s worthy of the AU$100 (ish) price tag.

A Country Mile - That’s how far ahead these guys are.

Not content to write and record one of the best albums of the year, Radiohead had to take it one step further. That’s what we all thought when news broke that they were releasing it themselves via the interweb. Little did we know.

Not only did they change the face of the music industry with their little experiment, but they hinted that they weren’t finished there. And then last weekend they did a webcast which showed just how far ahead these guys are from the pack. There were live performances, cover versions, video montages, they played DJ for a bit, and called the whole thing “Thumbs Down“.
