Apologies for the late arrival of this months podcast folks, I’ve been flat out like a lizard drinkin’ this last few weeks setting up my own business and just generally being man about town. You know how its. If it’s not one thing, it’s your mother.

Shaken and Stirred  is not a James Bond inspired theme I’m afraid. It’s a collection of classics either remixed or hacked  to pieces, depending on your point of view. You’ll find some unexpected tracks here with everyone from Elvis, The Beatles and The Rolling Stones each taking turn to surprise.

The October Long Weekend is the unofficial start of summer. What started out as a cruisey mix for headphone space on the beach quickly disintegrated into big tunes of the summer. This edition didn’t follow the script at all, and the play list developed on the fly. I think it went pretty well except for that one mix-in towards the end. But I’m sure you’ll forgive me that, eh?

Is everyone witnessing (or suffering from) the inordinate amount of stress involved in our daily lives recently? It seems everywhere I look a friend is out with a stress induced illness, or taking a few ‘mental health’ days.

No one seems to take the time to immerse themselves in anything anymore. People just buy the track they like, not the album - the death toll for music as a body of work. And that track they bought had better grab them in the first 15 seconds…
