G’day folks,
And welcome to the twelfth edition of Borrowed Beats.
I have to say that I feel a huge sense of satisfaction for having made it to my first anniversary. I had toyed with the idea of featuring the best tracks from the last year of Borrowed Beats, but instead decided to feature a track from each of, in my opinion, the best albums of 2006. You can find the top ten list here.
2006 was, for many, a little light on amazing albums, with the charts dominated by urban and nu-metal crap*.
I hope you enjoy this selection, and who knows, maybe there’ll be a few new directions for you to explore in there.
I have updated the subscription section again. It is now SO easy to subscribe in whatever format you desire. If you could take the two minutes to subscribe (or re-subscribe), I’d really appreciate it. It will give me a better idea of whom, and from where, is listening in.
I hope you enjoy it.
G
* for the most part. I did love the Jay Z and Linkin Park re-release though.
